the world full of shit below us

under our clean rooms, very similar to a sewer, and that disgusting place was well organized. there were corridors, rooms, ceramic walls, doors, everything built as if somebody actually cared about making that filth as another home.

we had to get something from that world, something unique that couldn't be found anywhere else. i don't remember what it was exactly, only that we had to go looking for it, and i remember we needed some kind of armor, weapons and courage to submerge ourselves into that world.

you really had to go down into it.

but the entrance was behind a door inside the family house.

i was a kid.

i had a friend and together we encouraged each other to go visit that world. we already knew that it was full of pure shit, that it smelled like excrement, and that inside there were all kinds of monsters covered in the same shit.

the most horrible thing wasn't seeing the monsters.

the most horrible thing was getting soaked in their shit.

the world outside that underworld looked natural, normal colors, the colors of the real world. but when we crossed that door, that barrier into the world below, the colors became green, almost emerald green, maybe bluish green, maybe a greenish blue. i don't remember well.

but those colors made everything look more rotten, more disgusting, more sick.

as if every corner was full of fungus, excrement, mucus, old spit, wet dirt stuck between the ceramic tiles, little stains that looked like something had been rotting there for years and nobody ever cleaned it.

the place had a smell like if thousands of people had spat in the same place, over and over, and all that saliva had evaporated but left its mark over the ceramic.

a mark made of bacteria, food residue, dried putrefaction, dried humidity, old mucus, dirt that had become part of the floor.

that world below us smelled like dirty humidity mixed with a little aged human shit.

aged shit.

like the smell had also been living there.

as i went deeper into those bluish-green ceramic corridors, i found myself walking and looking to the sides like an enchanted tourist.

every corner, "well polished."

every ceramic wall, "well built."

it was disgusting, but organized.

we walked through those corridors with a guide that already lived in that underworld. that monster wasn't friendly, he didn't even speak our language, i only asked him to take me to the place where i could find that precious material.

(yes, inside all that shit.)

that monster had no face. his whole body looked covered in marine plants, completely covered, wet things hanging from him, and i kept wondering how the hell he could guide himself through the corridors if i couldn't even see his eyes.

he didn't speak.

he only murmured.

in a very stupid way.

so stupid that it became uncomfortable to hear him, but he was our only guide, so we kept following him.

we went deeper into that low world and i started finding all kinds of monsters that looked human, but had suffered mutations.

monster number one was walking very slowly in the opposite direction.

he was thick, fat, heavy, and brown excrement was coming out from every pore of his body, like glue, but liquid, brown shit with a sticky consistency slowly sweating out of his skin.

from his face.

from his arms.

from his body.

from everywhere.

that creature smelled like too much shit, undoubtedly, but he walked so slowly that his own slowness somehow combined with the way that brown paste emulsified from his skin, collecting, sliding, sticking to him before falling to the floor.

that monster was a disaster.

so much that not even the other monsters from that rotten ecosystem wanted to get close to him.

then i saw a woman.

she was being carried by two horrifying creatures on a hospital stretcher with wheels, a simple stretcher, nothing hanging from it, nothing special, nothing more than a thin white mattress.

she looked human.

normal human skin, like mine.

but from the ribs down, her body was missing.

i could see the bone of her spine coming out from her massacred torso. it looked like somebody had tried to eat her like a kebab skewer and stopped halfway, leaving a little meat still stuck around the stick.

except the stick was her spine.

there was still some flesh around it.

the greenish color of that world, the smell of human shit, the wet mold, the rotten ceramic around her, all of it made me feel sorry for that woman because she needed medical help.

our guide asked us to sit.

or i think he did.

he spat something yellow while murmuring and pointed at some chairs.

my friend and i sat down.

there were rooms on the right. on the left there was nothing, only a concrete wall.

then we saw a doctor come out from one of those rooms.

he asked us to try some very special glasses. they looked like very advanced helmets, but when i put that helmet, or glasses, whatever it was, i noticed no difference.

nothing.

outside they looked like some very sophisticated object, alien technology, but inside i was still seeing the same dirty green world.

the doctor had purple skin, wore a normal hospital coat and brown pants. he spoke to us very friendly. he had a very noticeable smile with big teeth, but compared with all the other anomalies we had seen in that world, that doctor was the most "human" thing we could talk to.

he told us that it was better to stay seated, that they were already coming to give us what we were looking for.

behind a curtain covered in dirt and mold, we could see the woman being checked by another monstrous doctor.

she was agonizing very slowly.

you could hear how scared she was.

she looked like she didn't know,

what am i doing here?

while at the same time she was fighting for her life.

the monsters that moved the stretcher talked with that doctor, and he checked her from far away while writing something.

then he told the monsters to continue their way.

they moved the stretcher again.

the woman was taken in the direction of the exterior world.

the normal world.

the wheels kept moving over the filthy ceramic while the whole place still smelled like old spit, shit, dry mucus, human residue and humidity that had rotted so much that it felt like moving.

and then,

the objects we were looking for arrived...

PS: i later may feel the need to delete this shit.
